Meeting

Student's Evidence (PO9)

PO9 - Function effectively as an individual and in multidisciplinary settings with the capacity to be a leader

PO9 Attainment : 70

Self Assessment : 4/5

The first module which maps this program outcome is Engineering Design and Communication. In this module, I was required to work with students from different engineering disciplines to complete this project. This was done to ensure everyone was able to contribute or learn new knowledge in different disciplines. The project was in line with one of the 14 Grand Challenges, which is to restore and improve infrastructure. After conducting surveys and research, it is found that built-in table panels in lecture halls are insufficient for working purpose. Hence, my group has decided to build a multi-functional detachable table panel which acts as an extension work space to increase the productivity of the users. This table panel takes into consideration the principle of ergonomic which is the main study of our module. Since I was elected as the leader, my role was to ensure every group member compliments each other by overcoming any challenges that arise. Every group member was clear about their roles and worked together to meet the minimum requirement of the project. Overall, my group managed to produce the prototype and fared above average in this module.

Student's Evidence (PO10)

PO10 - Effectively communicate complex engineering activities, both orally and in a written form, in both technical & non-technical contexts.

PO10 Attainment : 75

Self Assessment : 3/5

The module which maps this program outcome is MEGP1 and MEGP2. In this module, my group was required to address and solve a complex engineering challenge in which was elaborated further in PO3. After completing the project, we were then required to present our project in front of industry supervisors and also academic supervisors of different backgrounds. Hence, my group has made posters to further enhance our presentation which will provide the audience with a better overview of our project. The poster consists of a brief introduction, problem statement, design, limitations, analysis data, results and recommendations. The purpose of this poster is to provide a non-technical overview of our project to effectively convey our engineering challenge. Overall, my group has effectively presented our engineering activity including concise and accurate data into our posters.
